Research on Bottled Water Suppliers in Ukraine

The Ukrainian representation of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) approached MCG specialists with a request: to gather the most detailed information possible about the Ukrainian bottled water market. The client was interested in specific information on how and which Ukrainian water suppliers could meet the organization's demand.

It was important for the client to receive several proposals in Ukrainian cities where OSCE representations are located. The main difficulty was that the list included cities in Donbas, located in territories temporarily not under Ukrainian government control.

Nevertheless, a combination of different desk research methodologies (analysis of open sources, social networks, telephone and internet versions of the "mystery shopper" method, etc.) allowed the MCG team to gather all the necessary information for the client. As well as:

• a list and contacts of the main bottled water suppliers in the regions of interest to the client;
• prices differentiated by volume and location;
• the current range of related products from the main suppliers.

The research helped to identify the most optimal and advantageous options for meeting the client's needs in each of the 26 cities studied.
